Our Story

We’re a midwest farm family in the Driftless Region of northeast Iowa. Exploring ways to improve our farm and leaving it better for the next generation is important to us. This means an emphasis on healthier people through healthier soil. Regenerative farming practices – the relationship with animals, cover crops, and earth – holds real promise to our northeast Iowa home.

It’s all about being curious. The addition of pasture-raised chicken and pork, a herd of sheep, buckets of “char” attempts, have us excited. We’re gaining ground, both figuratively and literally. Soil tests are starting to indicate a positive impact on our soil structure. Observation and data are proof combined that regenerative farm practices work.

Not only that, we believe in the power of family. We are blessed to raise our children on a family farm, to tend a garden, and to pass on important life skills. We want to share that with others, and encourage everyone to embrace self-sufficiency.
